I've called this picture Hurrah as for once the cattle didn't run away from me Smile In fact they wouldn't stop coming closer and closer and being licked by a cow is an extremely messy affair I can tell you!

I've tweaked the cattle themselves to bring out a bit more detail but left the background as it was - then cropped, borders, resized and sharpened.

I saw the thumbnail and thought "if I tried to take that the cows would all run away... then I read your description...
Nice picture, well caught.

I've tried this picture dozens of times and never been happy with the results, but I think you've found the answer... Get the feet in. That seems to make all the difference.
Excellent picture, but don't you just hate ear tags.

Thank you everyone - I took a vast quantity of pictures of this lot - irristible and lovely beasties - except for the slimey bit Smile

I've another without any tags at all that maybe I'll upload tomorrow. I was fortunate in that there were only two strands of barbed wire holding them in and they were very wide apart which helped immensely in managing a half decent picture. Of course that meant they could get those big noses and tongues through the gap which is why I was doing the mooo-ving as well!

Nooooooo! Please tell me you didn't get licked by the cows - eeewwuck! Good shot though as I tried at the weekend to get a shot like this and, guess what, they always ran away! Deserves a click.

LOL! And that cow nose in the upper right is great! Nice work to catch that lot...the only cow shot I've managed is the tails as they walked away. They're not nearly as photogenic from that angle! Smile

Oh lovely!! Judging by the size of their feet, quite young ones! So curious! Nice angle, well caught!

Winner of the No-bull peace prize, no doubt.
A lucky (except for the slime) catch. Well done.
