I am mad

By cosmin_gradinariu
I interpret the photograph this way: the subject is considered insane because she is playing an invisible piano. I also wanted to create a creepy atmosphere by adjusting the colors, exposure etc. All in all, I would like to know if I got anywhere near creating the story.

Ni Cosmin.

The idea is great but I would crop in closer, there is a litle to much space above the head, that way you would see the face and hands more clearly...and more spooky.

Nice idea and good capture...but i feel a bit closer to the subject might convey the idea better like toonman says above...have done a crop to bring the subject more into prominence..hope this helps Smile

striking outfit and pose you've captured here

main thing I'd say is that she's pretty small in the frame - the background above her head is pretty huge and dosn't have a lot of interest to add to the shot. It's a decent backdrop, I like the stone, but does it deserve so much prominance - or would it be better with it cropped to make her bigger in the frame ?

As for the story...

well to be honest, it's hard to see what she's doing with her being so small, the crop will help that.

Does she look like she's playing the piano... well in a way, she looks like she's creeping up on someone - like in an old horror movie, think Nosforatu. For piano, maybe get her seated - I play sat down - and perhaps the hands wider apart, also maybe think about how you could imply a pedal as most pianists use the pedals an awful lot.

Really like the shot and outfit Smile

Good creativity.

Agree about the distractions of the wall space , but perhaps that was your licence in creating a more vulnerable element.

Anyway , whacked up a quick mod with an inferred keyboard to ground your idea. Didnt bother to much with the opacity ,scaling or perspective , but it might give you an idea where to take the next image.

I think the crit team are all In South Africa !
