I am who I am

My best friend. Wouldn't be without her.
I wonder what she is thinking.
Not easy to interpret her expression.

Indeed an expression which could be interpreted differently by a thousand souls. A really beautiful yet in many ways a rather haunting and certainly reflective piece of fine portraiture.

Pondering the imponderable.
The strong chiaroscuro enhances the intensity of the gaze by concentrating the light on a single eye. Excellent focus, the catchlight perfectly rendered.

A powerful portrait, Malc.

Could be a very old image from the days of gaslight, nicely composed and if you ask very nicely she just might tell you her thoughts if she can remember.
