I'm Coming to get You!

Russian Eagle taken at a Bird of Prey demo near Lincoln. The bird was sat on a post and just about to launch into flight. I was trying to cature the birds focus on the keeper who had some food ready to take. It was the best of a number of shots trying to get some shots of this bird in flight.

Hi brian, quick mod, high-pass sharpen=levels to brighten=new layer select b/g=motion blur= add text flatten layer, hope this works for you, a cracking shot to start with.

A very classy shot. Great pose and timing. Highly reminiscent of the Gargoyles on the corners of the Chrysler building in New York City.

very little to add for critique: slight exposure increase; improve eye detail by targeting the eye to lift shadows.

A very nice image Paul, love the crop.

I have included a mod where I have lightened the shadows, increased the contrast, added a small amount of saturation and sharpened the image.

Potentially superb but the eye should be the most demanding thing here, and it is rather dark. Try a bit of judiciuos dodging of the eye and under the chin. Care though, soon looses contrast and that would be worse.

Again a big thank you to you all, especially for the modifications. After coming back to photography the post prcessing is the part I struggle with most so your mods are most useful and help with the step learning curve using Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5. Any suggestions on the best place to pick up tips on these would be also appreciated.
