I like the way you have caught the bird looking upwards at an angle!A rather small upload, though and photo looks rather unsharp. Also there seem to be a bit of a blue colour cast which could be removed selectively, i.e. leaving the water alone. I've uploaded a mod for you.

Hello, Brian. This image is only 267x356 pixels, and you are allowed up to 600 pixels on the largest side. This is certainly an unusual angle on the cygnet, and waterfowl photographers will tell you to get down to the bird's level for best results, but this view-from-above tends to work because you have the head tilted so that the features and eye can be seen. It's actually a bit quirky, different and unusual. A bit more detail in the eye would be preferable. I'm not sure if I like the dark water background with no ripples or highlights, but it does certainly focus all attention on the cygnet. I feel the bird is far too tight in the frame and needs room to breathe, and space to swim into. In my modification, I used CB's mod and added canvas to the left and bottom so that you get the idea of space that I referred to. I apologise for my cloning being a bit slapdash, but you get the idea. A closeup, say of the head, looks ok without much background, but I feel that when we have the whole of the bird, it looks too confined without added space.
Pamela.
PS: I felt guilty about the slapdash cloning, so did it again !
