Nicely captured, like Paul above I suspect this may have been a crop from a larger frame, if so, it would be nice if we could see your start image, you can upload it here as a modification.
The bird is very, very tight in the frame, there is nowhere for him to fly into and generally it seems a bit fuzzy overall which has resulted in loss of essential detail.
DOF looks ok, the bg is nicely blurred in order to isolate the bird.
Colour seems a bit on the overdone side though.
I will have a go at a mod.

Mod uploaded.
Flipped horizontally.
I increased the canvas size, a fair amount infront of the bird and a little behind and above him.Fairly crudely I admit but possibly gives you an idea of the space needed to show him off.
Reduced yellows and reds with hue/saturation layer.
Lightened the head/eye with a simple levels layer and an inverted mask so I could put the lightness where I thought it should be.

It would be helpful to see the original, before any processing. Other cropping options can be suggeted, as I suspec a significant crop here as ine detail is absent. While a large image may fl impressive, a claustrophobic look isn't, especially atthe expense of detail. It would also be useful to know what you did in Lightroom.
It's very nicely timed and I like he way the bird is peering out at the camera.

Interesting pose with the position of the eye.
Its probably zoomed in too much (cropped) to do it justice, as the finer detail isnt there, could well be better cropped less closely.
Tried a mod, mainly increased exposure, lifted shadows, reduced saturation, some sharpening, brighter eye highlight.

Willie

Well caught - at the equivalent of 200mm on full frame, getting the bird so well is an achievement!
Paul and Keith both know their way round wildlife pictures, and their advice has wisdom behind it that mine doesn't in this area. Janet and Willie really know what they're talking about on the technical side, as well.
As everyone else says, it would be interesting to see the original uncropped/unprocessed image. On the technical side, a higher ISO setting would give you leeway on aperture and shutter speed. 100 is low for a wildlife action shot!
