Well captured Ron. It is interesting to note the longish flattened tip on the beak of this captive owl. Most predatory birds in this country are fed on dead day old chicks and the bones are too soft to allow the tip of the beak to abrade normally, which means that from time to time they need to be 'coped' - filed down to a normal size. I am not sure what the reasons are that they should be declining - sad fact as they are gorgeous little chaps. A
