"I Won't MOOOOOOOOVE, Don't Make Me"

By RonnieAG
Just 2 ordinary documentary shots today.
A young Highland bull calf at the City of Glasgow's Highland Cattle Show, somewhat reluctant to cooperate, digging in it's hooooooooves, and refusing to be paraded round the ring.
In V 2 the judge looks on from a distance.
When I saw these images first, the song "I Won't Dance, Don't Ask Me" came to mind and I have loosely reinterpreted it for my title.

My thanks to all for the kind comments on Gladiolus........2, glad I didn't bin it after all: and special thank you to Pam {mashwood10} for her User Award.
And also a big thank you to Jocelia for her User Award for The Gaze.

Ronnie.

Not a good day for the young bulls handler Ronnie. The old saying "Not working with kids and animals" comes to mind....Derek

Great images Ronnie.
I've been taking photos of our local Aricultural Show for past two years
so can identify with this completely.
It's amazing these young people can handle the heavy animals so well.

Great images. It reminds me of a friend taking her dog for a pull, because that's all she did! Animals have a mind of their own sometimes! I love the bemused look on the judge's face in v2!

In your world off photography Ronnie, there is no such thing as 'Two ordinary shots', both images are wonderful, each displaying both charm and reasoning. Image number one certainly shows a great deal of strength and stubbiness, whilst number no is a rather more 'blase' carefree, lets get on with it manner.

Brilliant

Many years ago I covered a cattle show for the local rag.
Some of my shots were quit similar to this, and I was soooo dissapointed when they only published the boring prize winner shots.
