Ice-bergs

Didn't see any really big ones - to get these you have to go out in a boat, an option that wasn't open to me - but here's a selection from what I did get, given in the order they were taken over 30/31 May & 1 June. The last two are more like ice islands, especially the last, but nothing like the one that's recently broke off Greenland, given as being bigger than Manhattan Island!

Hey Jim! Great set of shots. I flew over Greenland last month and I was amazed at how large some of the icebergs were even from 36,000 feet.

Perhaps not the biggest icebergs, Jim, but they still make an impressive sight, esp. to someone like me who has never witnessed anything like this. V 6 looks like a fair sized slab of ice! Very interesting set of shots.

I am totally amazed to see this sight. Kind of proves that the ocean has gotten warmer. I can see these as being a hazard to boats. But it must be such a sight for you to see this. In v1 you have captured some beautiful atmosphere, and the blue that is evident in these large ice masses.
