Award Shortlist

If I were called upon to mention the prettiest corner of the world, I should draw a thoughtful sigh and point the way to the gardens of Trinity Hall

By Karuma1970
I'm going for the longest name for a photo award. It's actually a quote from Henry James. Note Trinity Hall (1350) not Trinity College (1546) which is next door. This photograph by taking a punt and working across to the other bank of the Cam. A blissful summer's day in Cambridge.
I had a minor amount of work to do after a friend pointed out a slight shortcoming. I'd be delighted if you can't tell.

Lovely architecture. Plants will survive anywhere growing out of the wall no less. No I can not tell! Debs

I suppose I shouldn't admit it but it's never going to reach 30 anyway. I was really pleased with it and showed it to a friend who said straight off "What a pity the sky is a monochrome" and it was. Although it was a lovely sunny day the sky came out in the photo as just a pale, almost white colour. It might have worked in B&W I suppose. The sky you see now belonged to Moraira in Spain a few weeks earlier. I promise you this is the only time I've ever done something like this.and is actually more true to the day. Mike
