Hi Ayelet!! Great set here - V2 is superb, the mono treatment really works well. V1, I feel could be lifted a touch to reveal the details a bit more IMO.

Great stuff - you brought on the monkeys now all I have to do is find a barrell to put them in!

Fantastic shot,
I new there was going to be great shots to follow yesterdays uploads Ayelet.
Both of them are brilliant but I think I prefer the coloured one over all.
I just looked again and I love the eyes in the B&W.

Hi everyone! I'm so overwhelmed by your comments and responses.
I worked a little on this image to bring out the eyes as you have pointed out - this is actually a crop of a bigger image.
I really appreciate all of you for stopping by and encouraging me with your kind words - you're the best! Grin

In what way Andy? The thing is I wanted to keep the image quite dark in order to draw attention to the eyes. Brightening or boosting the contrast would have made the details in the face and fur more visible, but I think would have ruined the atmosphere a bit. I do understand what you mean - do you have any suggestions I can try? I would truly appreciate it.

V2, by miles. This is a real portrait, of a serious, intelligent face, gazing back at the camera with confidence and dignity. Excellent.

A well shot full-frame image. I do think the extra lightening works well here, in fact personally I would increase the contrast a tad more.
The gaze and expression are wonderfully caught.
