Illustrious Skyline ...

By sut68
Another from early on yesterday morning down at Seacombe. I was a little disappointed that HMS Illustrious wasn't lit up a little more than it was but decided to have a 'pop' at it anyway whilst I was there.

After I had taken a few exposures, they decided to turn the lights off the Liver Building clocks, which just took something away from the scene for me ... so I decided to move on and shoot down at Perch Rock instead ... returning here a little later on.

Have a great day, whatever you're doing Smile

Paul

almost reminiscent of those reflection shots of boats that Keith's done recently.

Re-arrange the above words in any order you like Paul Wink

A bit of a shame about Illustrious not being lit up but one can't have everything Paul, its still not too shabby a shot is it. But, wheres the Cheerios? I demand Cheerios.

Eeeeee, you've got that skyline just right, every building worth mentioning is in it, nice bit of positioning me thinks.....shame about all those burnt out highlights tho, shame shame shame....Wink

Oh and nicely positioned boat thing, kinda adds to the overall image, in a dark secretive kinda way.

Staggeringly beautiful shot, Paul.
It doesn't need it, but have (had) you considered a more panoramic crop, too? Say just above the vapour trail and just below the lowermost reflection? - Just an idle speculation, which may give this image even more power!
There's serious quality at work here!

Cheers,
Bill

Superb image, stands right out from the thumbnail and the opened image doesn't disappoint. I don't think it needs a crop - I like the balance of blues above and below the cityscape, and it just draws my eye in.
