Imagine.......

By Fefe
Hello all...... Not been around much of late, just far too busyTongueTongue I bet you have had a nice restWinkGrin
Anyway, due to my lack of time here is a few images I took on Sunday on the "Five Weir's Walk" that runs from Meadowhall to Sheffield city centre and ends at Lady's Bridge. Its a very Industrial walk, about three mile and amazingly never see a house, just industrial buildings, and of course five weirs along the River Don. Its all a bit grim........ Well it is a bit grim up northTongue but makes some nice images, so here a few, hope you like them.
And due to the first image and the message it thought I would include this Music ....I am a massive Queen fan and thought this song rather apt.

Apolgies for lack of votes or comments of late, hope to catch up in next couple of daysGrin

Does look a bit grim, Diane, but still makes for good images, as you have proved in these two Smile Carol

Four great images, Diane!
I like V3 - you could be looking up or down as well as straight ahead!
Well, that's what I think, any way!

Like these a lot Diane excellent composition and exposure, bit puzzled by the Queen remark! I did not know she could sing, does the Duke join in.

Hi Diane

You have to claim first since I was at Lady's Bridge about two hours after you, we were almost stood in the same place, you could have left some coffee for me and instructions.................. These are great shots!!! V2 I thought was a great POV, but I might be biased GrinGrin I like them all, but V1 is great because of the ornate rails and the graffiti [did you get your feet wet?]GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Good series, Diane, it's worth remembering that it was our industrial heritage that made our country great. Grin

A fascinating series. I love industrial architecture and think that we miss a great deal by always seeking out the prettified architectural features. I like them all (though not sure about the light in V3) but I'm particularly attracted to V2 where the curve of the weir provides a great lead in and there's that lovely human touch with the shop sign.

A fine set, Diane, especially your composition on v2. f29 seems a bit high. You could have got away with f16 and used a lower ISO and/or faster shutter speed.

Saw Queen at Earls Court in the 70s!!

Living in Sheffield I ought to have done this walk, but never seem to get around to it. Walked across that bridge many a time though! Wink
