Immersion of Ashes

A day after the cremation the ashes are immersed in a holy river , usually the ganges, but here they are being immersed near the confluence (sangam) of rivers Cauvery,Kabini and Hemavathi.
The two sons are immersing the ashes watched by the priest.

An excellent capture Bobby......I can relate to the scene as I see it quite often along the Ganges in Varanasi where the male relatives of the deceased are usually head shaven out of respect & grief.
