The light on his face is wonderful. I think there was scope for another picture here - I'd like to see less space on the left, and the whole of his shadow on the right.

It wasn't possible. There are some other people on front tables. This was taken between a space of two people in front.

great light and yes, it's a pity the shot cannot be re-configured the way Moira suggested.. the good thing however is that whoever he's talking to/looking at remains outside of the frame

First, i rarely taking pictures of people because of some reasons. One is that i am not that much lover of street photography and second is that i am taking a photographing other people without their permission troublesome, but i couldn't resist this because of light i saw on his face and some shadows behind him. I already knew that it wont be a 'perfect' shot', but i did it anyway.

What if person noticed me photographing him and reacted?

As i said to Moire, there were people on front tables who were obstacles to have other person or even complete shadow on photo.
