The people in the image give it scale and you can appreciate how tall they are - the buildings not the people!! Good texture too.

The repeats are excellent, the man's expression inquisitive, the woman's - - we shall never know. I do like pictures that leave questions unanswered.

Superb mono treatment.

It all sits very comfortably within the square format crop Dave, and the conversion finishes it off very nicely indeed... Dave

lovely detail in the brickwork, and good tones suits mono. the man on the bike and the man walking are well placed. think i'd be tempted to lose the part woman on the edge of the frame.lesley

The repetitive pattern of the windows & chimneys & the texture of the stonework are superb and the 2 figures, one moving away & 1 towards us are perfectly balanced. The mono treatment is ideal for this shot. Personally I'm not too keen on square formats. I think you could have lost a bit off each side & made it a nice portrait format, but that's just me being a pernickity old git! Smile

A token comment to prove I'm still alive Dave. This is a cracker all round ..... pretty much perfectly placed figures, good leading lines, and marvellous detailing in the background. Suits BW too. Enjoy Scotland och aye the noo.

Yes this is a cracking image and a very good conversion to mono. The square crop just gives it that extra dimension.
