In The Air

By Philo
More messing around with off-camera flash. This time it's Rocco jumping around. Quite difficult to focus in this dimly lit old cinema so it took quite a few attempts.
Lighting once again from a single speedlight and shoot-through brolly
Looking forward to your comments (honestWink)

nice one Phil - caught him mid-air very well.

Amazing how high he can jump really... guess he is still in his 20's lol

nicely blackened background too, keeps those wierd distractions like the baloons at bay!

This works well Phil, - both images. They have an almost cartoon like appearance, - with the subjects expression, and the bright face. Good work.

These have worked out really well, Phil, and the action captures the attention far more than a straightforward portrait, for me at least. His expressions are good, too. At first, I thought Rocco was levitating, quite spooky.

Thanks Pamela, I think I prefer the action shots too but I do need to practice the portraits (obviouslyWink)

Technically fine. Prefer V2, but with a much tighter crop. Not sure why though? Just me, but cant see a use for them without something else in there.

Thanks Paul, the model loves these jumping shots so hopefully he can put them to use.

Love the detail in V1, but prefer the pose of v2 - excellent.
