In The Bleak Midwinter

By JanieB43
A quick upload & run today as I'm up late for work Sad

Taken yesterday just before sunset after some fresh snow on Saturday............this one has a sepia filter added - V2 is the original.

I like it but I'm a bit annoyed that I couldn't crop or clone out the horse box in the BG !!

Please try LARGE & see what you think.

I didn't notice the horse box until you drew my attention to it, Jane! A very lovely winter's scene, definitely prefer the more colourful V1. If I had to nit-pick, I'd clone out the vapour trail creeping in from the left, but a great image, though, with a very nice lead-in of the fence. Like it.

Never noticed it until you mentioned it. You should allow mods and I could have got rid of it for you, no problem

I think you could push the exposure even more cos I prefer v2 as it shows more detail. V1 looks a bit muddy which is a shame cos the composition is very inviting and the extreme dynamic range has been captured without blowing the highlights which is not always easy to do. Good eye for a comp then and an ability to know what to expose for. A bit more work in post processing would finish it off perfectly.
