Good result tho' Phil ..

The beauty of the days of film was the grain. Digital has conned us into believing a noise free image is the holy grail, whereas the image is the thing. Mind you, as I am a big fan of Roy Lichtenstein's paintings that tells you where I'm coming from!

Don't give up on scanning. The things you can in Photoshop, etc make it fun. My father senselessly and selfishly threw out all our family photos including our day in Egypt as we returned from his tour of duty in Aden in 1964. If he hadn't done that, I would have had them all scanned, and scanning gives you a back up.

A fine close-up, Phil 😃👍🏻 A shame when I was there back in April 2009 my camel didn't take me this close! 😬🐪

Very good Phil!
One day I want to scan lots of our prints and get them on the PC, at least you have made a start Wink
A pleasing result Phil.

When I last saw it, there was a bit missing from the face. I found with scanning (mostly slides) was the colour cast, which tended to be red or cyan.

I spent a lot of time scanning old family photos with good results--and plenty of noise---- A lot of the old photos were noisy to start with and not at all sharp-- but some were over 100 years old-- lovely to have the images!
