In the heart of the Cuillins

By hrsimages
This shot was taken during a two day visit to the Cuillin hills on Skye, normally a wet and mist shrouded experience but this time I was lucky and had nice weather. Reaching Loch Scavaig by boat on the first day at around mid-day I hiked up onto a long ridge, the Ridge of Oars, which bounds the NE shore of Loch Coruisk and leads right up to the high tops of the Cuillin ridge. Quite some effort to get up there but worth it for the great views as you really feel in the heart of this great range of mountains.
I tried this shot in landscape and portrait format and the latter seemed to work best.
