I used a large aperture to get the background flowers well out of focus. I focused on the top two flowers. You will notice they are sharp whilst the other two are slightly blurred due to the very limited depth of field.
I used manual focus and live view magnified to help pinpoint focus point.

Interesting to read your comments in reply: yet I am surprised at how limited the DOF is at f/8.0 and just 105mm.
Just shows what I know !
However you have achieved your objective excellently and captured a truly beautiful image.
