Inchcolm Abbey

The Abbey is situated on Inchcolm Island in the Firth of Forth. Initially it was established as a priory by David 1 in 1235 being given full abbey status soon after.
The abbey can be visited by boat from South Queensferry which is around five miles west of Edinburgh.
