Into the Light

By chase
Three Heleniums from my garden, I think this variety is Moerheim Beauty.
Their alternative name is Sneezeweed, which makes me smile, not sneeze Wink
Taken in daylight camera left and up high as I wanted the bottom flower very much in the darkness.

Raw file sorted in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop with a graduated texture, straighten up crop and a little faffing.

Thanks for taking the time to call in.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Stay safe, be good, be happy.

Yes I agree with Trev, it has got a rustic feel to it. Loving that little container/vase and the graduated textured backdrop really brings the whole image together. Another beauty, Janet👍!

Clean, simple and effective. I do like the graduated background, it enhances the flowers perfectly, as well as being a perfect match for the vase.

Just a little info...
The alternative name, Sneezeweed is based on the former use of their dried leaves in making snuff. It was inhaled to cause sneezing that would supposedly rid the body of evil spirits.

Many thanks all.

I like the grad texture effect

its o so easy to get these images looking contrived but you have a magic touch I think as your stills always look gorgeous
