Sometimes you have to be lucky with the weather in photography Paul, your mono conversion works well here, good tonal range and excellent composition with the small boat placed perfectly in the frame, well worth the early rise for this one photograph. I say it was worth the effort. Really like how the fog is just touching the top of the bridge Last year I drove all the way to the coast, about an hour or so, as it was a lovely sunny day, as soon as I got there the sun disappeared and it was really cold....like you say, best laid plans etc
