Isolation

By NDODS
Having no independence as you may know or don't know is a very tough thing to come to terms with. Those people who have ended up being incarcerated have chosen take that path, where myself and I am sure many, many others have had little or no say in the matter. I do get out and about with a Support Worker or Julie, however being able to open my own front door and head off to the Newsagent or into the Countryside is a no no. I am part of a group of people, however the isolation and loneliness one feels is sometimes a very difficult pill to swallow.

This image for me sums up everything that I feel, and like the berry I will feel a new light and warmth as the days pass.

Sorry for my moaning, its just that I think if I note down my feelings they become less troublesome.

Thank you all for your most caring words and comments following yesterdays upload 'Thread Bare'. A further mention going to Digitialboi (Graham) and EAS (Ann) for their most welcomed User Awards.

I sincerely hope that you all have a great day ahead whatever that may bring.

Regards as always Nathan

Hi Nathan,
a great photo, with strong significance, one can't imagine being in your shoes , it must be hard..but your humour rises against the hardship & often puts a smile on all of our faces out here.

All the best my mate.

So sad really and I do empathise - I have a son not as seriously affected by your own health problems Nathan but he had a significant motor cycle accident 30 years ago and was in a coma for 11 weeks in ICU he has made a good recovery as far as he can go! BUT he is very lonely and I look after him best I can - I am full of admiration for your determination to get on with life the best way you can all due credit to you.

The picture does portray loneliness and makes a very valid point, thanks for sharing your feelings here today

A feeling expressed is a feeling understood better, and maybe, partly, discharged...

And the pictures is beautiful, if lonely. As Leonard Cohen put it, "even damnation is poisoned with rainbows."

It's always good to get feelings out, Nathan, and why not do so amongst friends? So no apologies necessary and you weren't moaning. Just airing.

Very poetic the comparison you made and this shot is poetry in itself with the way you shot it.

Hope your spirits get a lift, my man.

Nathan. To a lesser degree, I know and understand, walking the easier part of the Path you are on, have just had 5 days in the company of others, most of whom I would
say find the Path harder than I do, but will not show it. This makes it easier for me, thinking if they can do it I can. Eric. Nice Capture of a thought provoking subject.

I have swallowed the same pill many times Nathan, sometimes it seems bigger than others, but you swallow it just the same, the only place I can go on my own is the garden where I can be seen. So I know what you are saying I spend more time in my small study than anywhere else, I find consultation in many ways and think of others worse off than I, the totally deaf and the blind; and the totally disabled confined to a bed for the rest of their life!. your photo is a poignant reminder of your situation, the single berry! but don't overlook the others that are out of focus! what are their circumstances, dependence on others yes you have no free will but! often the person you depend on have to give up some of their free will to help you or I for that matter!, so one foot forward one at a time if you fall drag yourself up again come what my!. hope you have a good day Nathan looks bright out there but cold, I'm not going anywhere, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
