Isolation

A well photographed location but I decided to try something different to get the sense of scale and isolation of this former farmhouse. Beyond the farmhouse are the infamous Foxtor Mires, said to have been the inspiration for the fictional Grimpen Mire in the Hound of the Baskervilles

Love the way the farmhouse pulls the eye into the image, also the ND filter has captured that movement in the clouds. Great job...

Thank you Robert. I had a mono version in mind so I felt the sense of cloud movement with the slow shutter speed would work better.
I did take the image both with and without the ND filters so I have the other option to fall back on if I ever change my mind.

It gives something different to the usual images of the old farmhouse. I'd like to return in misty/rainy conditions for more of a sense of the Hound of Baskervilles

Love the way everything is still, the sharpness of the grass but the sense of movement in the sky is great
