OK my first photo with my macro lens All help/ comments and advice would be appreciated as its the only way I'll get any better!

It is a very good first attempt.The colours are good. The lighting needs some adjustment.
Would suggest you use a tripod and make sure above all that the photo is in focus. With still life there really is not excuse for out of focus images as you are in total control.
If this is your first macro, then I look forward to more shots of yours and welcome to epz.

Hi Mark,the macro work is fine in fact i think you have caught some droplets,the texture is good,colour/tone,but your lighting is harsh a John says and it is slightly out of focus.I will do a mod and try and tell you how to fix it.Well done,keep going.Take care.AnnSmile
You might find the mod a bit dark,but i think it has toned down the lighting and sharpened it slightly.I have put down what i did as thoroughly as i can remember,if you want to know anything about it let me know.Your macro work is good.

Thank John & Ann your version does look better - I'll try to copy yours and post it as a mod tommorrow
