Istanbul Cat

By maggiem
We saw a lot of feral cats on a recent holiday to Turkey and Greece. Most, I am pleased to say, were in a pretty good condition, mainly due to locals feeding them and local vets seeing to their medical needs (at least this was the case at the main 'touristy' sites that we visited, things may be different elsewhere..).

This one was sleeping peacefully just outside the entrance to the Blue Mosque, and was completely unbothered by the hoards of people walking close by.

Hope you like it, any comments or crits as always are very welcome.

Lovely picture and as you say he looks unbothered and in good health.

We lived in Kuwait for a year and there were colonies of feral cats - but very wild.

I've always found them to be fleshy and sturdy, Izmir cats are lean or slender when compared to those in Istanbul.
