It's a real hoot!

By TrevBatWCC
We had another Camera Club shoot this last Monday evening, this time outdoors. We had photographed Tillie the barn owl and Libby the eagle owl indoors at our club venue last November, and Kira brought them along again where we met up at Farmer Copleys, Ravensknowle Farm, Purston, near Pontefract. Luckily the weather was favourable with lots of sunshine! Smile
V1 shows Tillie, and again in V2 with Kira, and V3 shoes Libby.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Love V1 Trev, but perhaps more space at top and less on bottom?
but a wow to V3 beautifully detailed and a great shot
So going for V3

Two very fine portraits captured in immaculate detail and so well exposed: and I like V 2 with the handler, the owl showing up so well with the tree as background.
What a handsome bird the owl is in particular with that beautifully marked plumage and wide open face.

Images one and two are crammed with so much detail and natural colour that they make my eyes hurst, simply superb, a pleasure to view and comment upon Trev.

Three fine captures, Trev, Tillie looks particularly good against the green de-focused background.

Love the dignified pose in V1, the interaction in V2 and that snooty, know it all look in V3. Is the model in V3 a camera club judge by any chance?
In perfect light these are shown at their best, stunning detail Trev

I went to one of these bird places a couple of weeks ago Trev,
but the handler was nothing like the one here in V2.
It was some hairy old guy !!
Good set.
