Ah you suffer for your art! You have got this very sharp for shooting one handed and having a lovely shallow DoF. I like the visible blood in the abdomen which is different to the more run of the mill mozzie shots! Having done malaria research in the past this one has special interest for me 
Just an afterthought: I wonder if you pushed the contrast a little more whether the mosquito would have more impact without seeming artificial? Perhaps pushing it until the compound eye is black?
