Just a fraction of a second more and this would have been a great shot to me it needed the aircraft in the frame nice effort,John

Going with what John says, it's always best to either have the whole of the subject in the frame or make the missing parts a deliberate aspect of the composition. Aside from the missing tail, I do like the close crop — it gives a good sense of the size of the plane, close to the ground.

The only other thing is that it's a bit dark. From the nose, it looks like it's flying pretty much straight into the sun so being over on the other side wouldn't have helped. Using a curves adjustment to whiten the whites and brighten the oranges would give more impact. (From the thumbnail, I actualy thought this was Jet2's grey and red, rather than easyJet's white and orange.)

What you've done especially well is either used a fast enough shutter speed or panned well with the plane to keep everything nice and sharp.

I think that with an accidental crop like this, where you just missed a little part, it's better to crop it more and make it look like you did it on purpose, as I have done in the modified image.

Also, I played with levels, contrast and highlights a bit, because I felt the image could do with a little lifting.

As DRicherby says, you have done well, though, in getting the plane sharp. Getting all of it in the shot is the next step...
