Jacobite

By peugeot406
It was not the best day for weather when we went to view the Jacobite Steam service from Fort William to Mallaig but as promised here are 3 images that I took but alas they are not as good as I had hoped. What do you think?
Tech details:
1/400 second @ f8
ISO 800
Focal length 400mm
Monopod
Raw converted using PS

Many thanks for looking and for C&C's on previous uploads.

A beautiful train on a beautiful viaduct passing through one of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland. But which of the Scottish valleys isn't one of the most beautiful? Smile

Great series of shots Brian. One either side of the water stop, good timing. Main line moving steam photography is not easy, you pick your spot and then you only get one chance. For the mastershot I think you do need the sun to play some part.

Hi - stunning shot - went up to Appleby on the train from Skipton last Saturday and there were photographers at the side of the tracks all the way up - waiting for the two steam trains running to and from Carlisle - Jude.
