Fabulous capture of a design classic! How did they make a car that was so ‘drop dead gorgeous’?
So interesting, in several ways. It appears to be LHD, both from the absence of steering wheel and the pedestrian-spotter lens on the right of the light... By the same token, the headlamps are not original equipment, I think, as it would have had standard Lucas sealed-beam units rather than H4 Halogen lamps.
And it's an earlier model - later, the headlamps were behind covers that matched the curve of the bonnet for better streamlining.
Finally, I have to admit I'd never noticed the seam along the top of the wing before, even though it's in every picture of an E-Type! Besotted by the overall shape as I am, that had escaped me. Every other sports car since has wanted to be an E-Type...
