Jane Austen's Writing Table

By conrad
I meant to be taking photos with my Olympus, but taking photos wasn't exactly encouraged in the Jane Austen House Museum, so out came the iPhone, it was set to silent operation, a silent click, and it was slipped back into my pocket. Smile

This was Jane Austen's tiny writing desk, where many great works flowed from her pen - not this particular quill pen, also not her inkwell, but they do look the part, don't they.

A simple shot, but I rather like it myself. Let's see what you think...

(Almost entirely processed on the iPhone, with the Snapseed and Infinicam apps, and then given some finishing touches on the pc.)

I like the perspective a lot and you have caught some great textures in there. Just shows a decent photographer doesn't always need their Ģ000's of kit to produce good results. Smile

Good point. I remember a magazine article about an event where they gave professional photographers a disposable camera for a day and challenged them to shoot some nice pictures, all in the same city. They came up with some really good shots. Itīs not the kit that does it - (although it does help, sometimes).
