A well walked sandy beach. Good shot.

Looks just like the Florida keys , same causeways
.Only suggestion would be to crop out half the beach, beautiful to look at all the same

An excellent composition, Jacob.
I don't think I'd crop any of the beach as it's an image in its own right and complementary to the upper part of the picture.
This is an image that could be cropped in a number of ways.

Yes, I agree with RichardSmile
Apart from amazing colors and flickering water along an quite impressive bridge.
That's the proportions which give us an unique perspective, together with beautiful sand details and textures, plus a "little person" as a bonus make this image complete!!

One of those pictures where the more you look, the more you see; with strong lines and colours giving distinct areas within the whole. Very effective. Allan

Superb Shot!

If I would crop anything at all in this image that would rather be a very tiny bit of sky,
while still leaving some narrow margin above the clouds to show some of other shades of blue for contrasting image.

Thank You Walt, You and Richard or Daniela - All of You are right,
as You can crop it in many ways...

It's also good to know the different points of viewSmile

However this particular image was intentionally kept and photographed in this format.

There are several reasons for that:
1\ I wanted to show the close up of the sandy beach in the foreground as one of the main features.

2\ Also wanted to keep the unique proportions, rather than simply divide image in about half, which is kind of my "Trademark" Wink Sometimes I like to keep the low horizons and other time the opposite for stronger compositional effect. Like here for example:

3\ In this particular case I also try to take advantage of the tiny Sony sensor, it's format 4:3 instead of 3:2 in my Pentax Cameras, and its only 8MP of resolution. When I crop this horizontally I loose a lot of pixels and resolution. So I mostly use this tiny camera for close ups, macro, verticals or more square formats..

But sometimes I make exceptions and You may see some examples in versions within my portfolio here:

or separately here:

Hope it helps explain my choices GrinSmile

Cheers !
