Very fast left hander up on the mountain section of the famous Isle of Man TT circuit. Another one of my favourite spots. A few of you will have noted my comments in recent uploads about "context" and hence the need for background and spectators to be shown. I guess rules are made to be broken sometimes...the conditions were so good an extreme close up was called for - I just couldn't resist it! The sun was over my shoulder and conditions were very bright which allowed f/7.1 & 1/2000s at 400ISO. This shot is virtually straight out of the camera with only a very minor crop and minimal processing. I might be accused of being old fashioned and lacking in imagination but my general preference is to produce photographs of situations as they are...I guess I'm in the minority. I confess to getting bamboozled by Photoshop CS sometimes!!! Bottom line...I would rather be behind a camera than a computer screen. I hope you like this shot of one the most popular and talented TT riders to grace the circuit - John McGuiness 23 times a TT winner. A hero to many fans and an absolute gentleman.
