Joie De Vivre

By LynneJoyce
Good images of my sole companion and favourite model are very hard to get because of his lively nature and uncanny habit of moving just before I press the shutter. I have a large number of blurry images of a disappearing dog in the trash! I persist because I have learned from previous experience that images of those you love are important, precious memories when they have gone.

Capturing the physical being is one thing but capturing the spirit and personality is yet another. This is what I have tried to portray with these images, his joie de vivre, his irrepressible personality and his love of playing with very big sticks be they fallen or still growing.

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these images.

A lovely set of: 'What dogs do' images, Lynne. I think you have managed to capture the character of him very well, and also the love that he obviously has for you too. Smashing !Smile

We all take images of our children/babies/grandchildren trying to do exactly as do with Ansel and all other animal lovers. It is indeed difficult to capture what we see and feel.
I think we are all getting to 'know' Ansel now through your images - a delightful, frisky joy.

I wonder how you could handle two dogs now as you did before.

Captivating set beautifully presented.

Good thing you have an open space where he can get his exercise and play time. You have done so very well training him, they are such intelligent animals that sometimes they test our will. He is a handsome boy.

Great set, Lynne, certainly looks to be enjoying the great outdoors as much as you do photographing Ansel! 👍😀

Carry on Ansel----but never mind trying to climb trees-- that is not your talent--
A lovely collection, worthy of a book!

Despite the difficulties he poses for you and your camera, you have done a pretty good job of capturing his adventurous activities, and even managed a selfie in V 6.

A fine set here Lynne, hard to pick a favourite as he’s spirited in all of them. v.2 just has it for me. Lucky dog!
