Jumping islands

By Drummerdelight
Quickly driving to the beach in 'De Haan' with my daughter Karen and her colleague friends from Italy and France to see the sunset was a succes. They loved it and so did I snapping away to treasure this memory!

I tried my best to adjust the tones so one can see the faces more than the original shot - V1 where I prefer the strong tones and dynamics... What do you prefer?

Enjoy your Sunday!

Wonderful image, Guy.......I prefer the image without ''de doortekening'' so only seeing the silhouettes

The delights of island-hopping!
I think I prefer the version. The inevitable contre-jour light patch on your daughter's back is removed, leaving the back-light on the hair of the two hatless figures. While we also lose the detail on the one visible face it is less fundamental to the ensemble than the three shapes.

For me both shots are beautiful in their own right, although the original (V1) emphasises your perfect timing regarding the movements of the individual players. I wonder how many shots you took to achieve this perfect one Grin My Award is for both pictures GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Thank you Helen, I too prefer the original for those reasons, like mentioned above. That was a decisive capture that exact moment but I did move about (had to) to catch them having the time of their life! Both students did not see the sea for half a year and as you see, the sunset was lovely - together with friends, what more can one ask Wink
