Junior Can-Can

By woolybill1
While I was innocently enjoying a spirited rendition of Offenbach's most famous composition in Covent Garden this little fellow wandered onto the scene as if to join in.
I'd have loved this to be sharper, but I reckon it's worth keeping for entertainment value.
What was the cellist trying to tell the child's mum, I wonder? Or perhaps he's the listening ear. The viola player is pleased to be furthest away from the action, the violinists and flautist are fearful for their music stand, the lady cellist is in a world of her own...

Somehow this seems to require mono, but I'll post the original too.

I like both....but I like the color one a bit better. I guess something about the bright reds grab me. The lady cello player does seem to be completely detached from the scene.

really think this would work well with a touch of selective colouring on the child?? lovely scene

Fantastic capture Bill.
Love the color version.
Apart from the the little one having a jig about, a couple of things amuse me......
I know that the cello case on the left is open but it looks as if there is someone hiding behind it, & the lady cellist is looking lovely wearing a skimpy top, but the lady violinist has so many layers of clothes on & boots as well, it looks as if they are in different parts of the world.
I love these images of yours Bill, they give me so much to look at & enjoy.

It's the colour version for me, too, Bill, it is far more alive and vibrant. Agree with Hilary about the clothes anomaly, intriguing.

A brilliant capture of a ''little detail'' here Bill.A case of ''the band played on''.A well observed and timely capture, and you will know my preferred version!!!!.

Wondeful candid with that whole range of attitudes (i.e. body language) towards the child. The selective colouring is really an asset here.
