Just a little bit to the left

This poor duck must have had a duck flea. Just wouldn't stop scratching

HI Vero!

Think back to why you decided to use -1/3 compensation. Do you remember why you chose that setting.

When shooting into bright water, there is a natural tendency for many of us to worry about underexposure, compensate for the reflected light, and end up with a very underexposed shot; especially when the subject, that Duck, is much darker than the surroundings.

This happens because the camera is also very worried about overexposure, and decides it will underexpose the scene, and then you add to the underexposure by reducing it further.

This takes us to the fact that in the vast majority of cases where exposure compensation is needed, it will be POSITIVE, not negative. A negative exposure comp situation happens, but its rare.

What this needed was in fact +1, as shown in the mod. So next time, consider what the camera is deciding to do itself, and override it as needed.

Ita s very nice well timed shot btw.
