Just pose

By Angi_Wallace
Ive taken down my wedding pic posted earlier as only one person seemed to "get" what I had done and what friends had asked specifically for. People really dont like it when boundries are pushed and someone tries something different, ah well, I love the pic and the couple have had several copies printed and framed for family today Wink

This image was taken last year but Ive tried a different approach to portrait processing and quite like it.

WOW, its only been up for minutes and has a GEA - thankyou very much Trev

Stunning portrait, the lighting and delicate position of the hands make this some thing special, and award it a GEA.

Superb portrait. It is annoying when an upload gets passed by - normally it happens on the ones that I really value or like! Steve

This is beautiful Angi.
I suppose the majority of us are 'conventional'.
When I don't 'get' an image I think it's because I'm not as advanced artistically,
so it shouldn't stop you doing your own thing.
A little narritive might help us understand where you're coming from.
Anyway I love the light on this image, the light on the velvet, the upturned eyes, the curve of the mouth, the flawless beauty. this I understand!

Wonderful (classical) pose and make-up. Very 1940s looking. And a beautiful model!
The b&w is excellent, too.
However, I'd suggest you re-work the skin: facial skin is very flat here and with low structure (a lot of processing seems to have been going on in order to give it the typical Hollywood glamour look), whereas the skin on her arms is very natural, almost unretouched.

Nice use of hands. Deep
