Just Yellow

By NDODS
Whilst getting on my knees to capture the shot of the dew drops resting peacefully on the little blue fella that I captured yesterday "please excuse my ignorance, of forgetfulness" but I do not retain information to long because of my medical condition, but I can't think of the name of the flower. Anyway as I was already in a somewhat of an unorthodox position I noticed this little fellow fella glistening in the morning sunshine. I couldn't possibly miss another opportunity of capturing the natural beauty that surrounded by twisted limbs. So I simply pressed the shutter and came a with a little prize for my effort. Hope you like.

Perfectly focused, beautifully composed, superb colour and dof.
I can never remember the names of flowers unless someone whispers them in my ear; even then the name passes rapidly through and out the other side. I have no reason nor excuse. Vintage cars are another matter entirely !
Good colour,it's bold and right on the money .

The colour is great, but I would like to see some texture. Well done. WesternRed.

Yellow is properly the hardest colour to replicate in camera and you`ve managed it perfectly.
Composition fit`s the text book but i feel the negitive space to the right does nothing for the image.
Try cropping in deep and increasing the exposue to bring in some more detail.
Hope this helps

Its a nice shot, and as Kim pointed out, Yellow is one of the most difficult colours to work with.

The prime reason is oversaturation, and in this shot, good though it is, Yellow is very much oversaturated, and reducing this improves detail. Reducing highlights, i.e a negative exposure comp will improve it even more.

Ive done a mod I can send you if you PM me.
