Kanyakumari (Cape Comorin) is the southernmost tip of the vast Indian subcontinent beyond that is the Indian Ocean & the South Pole. Shown here on a warm sunny morning is the rocky outcrop washed by the 3 bodies of converging water, namely the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal & the Arabian Sea. In the background approached by ferry is the Vivekananda Memorial & the statue of the tamil poet Thiruvalluvar....the work of 5,000 sculptors which honours the poet's 133 chapter work Thirukural, hence its height of exactly 133 feet (40.5m.) was erected in the year 2000.
The cape is also famous for its sunrise & sunset points on the same spot!

Two excellent images!

Yes Isabel, the trip by the ferry was pretty choppy because of the strong current of the meeting point of the 3 bodies of me, the view is better from the mainland where I took this shot.
