Kebechet, daughter of Anubis

By Mikstyx
Another one of my Stock manipulations, the original description was: Fine art photo of a young beauty's face wrapped with bandage. It was black and white originally, all the colour and added textures are mine. I have a series of images that I'm calling my God and Goddess collection that I'm slowly building. They are mostly all based on Egyptian mythology, again these are aimed at a commercial basis, I feel, maybe book covers. I'm not entirely sure about the text on this one. CC welcome Regards Mik

I much prefer this. Again, way outside my normal comfort zone, but the composition is tight, the layers work in harmony, they don't compete for attention.

I love the drips, and the crack running across the shoulder / jawline. And the very austere palette, deathly grey and blood red.

Minor quibbles - try without the catchlight in the eye. Darker, perhaps. And there's a tiny bright bit on the lower left edge that is really annoying me.

Modification to follow, just for illustration.

Right, forget the fine art thing. This one I like. The effect is good and far more 'realistic' if you watch the MUMMY films. The composition, too, is strong and ete catching. We are looking at processing rather than original shots, but I do see the strength and potential in this one.

Hi.
It would be good to see the starting point and see what you have done on top of it.
Could you please upload the original image too?

Striking. I'd be tempted to go the other way from Moira, and brighten the whole eye, rather than removing the catchlight...

I personally like the little catchlight in the eye and wouldn't want to remove it. It adds just enough spark of life to make the 'monster' feel real Smile
The writing I'm not sure about, if I'm honest. Part of that may be because I can't actually read the flamin' word and that's bugging me! But I do like whatever font you've used, as it goes well with the whole 'dead rising' feeling of the figure itself.

And 'striking' is a very good description for this one. Having not picked up a camera or got near to being creative for a while, I'm actually rather envious of this one! Grin
