I like the wary angle in V2 looking for danger Lillian but sadly they both appear to be a little soft on the focus. What a shame

I would have to agree with this, i dont know whats going on with this site lately but its getting far to bitchy for my liking. Someone has only left a comment on there own thoughts and then someone else has to come back with a comment like "soft in the head" there really isnt any need for these childish remarks i thought we were all adults and sometimes the squabbling and jibes get to out of hand. Personally i dont think its soft i just think it needs a slight adjustment in curves and it would make a difference its just the feathering in them can make them look soft but actually they arent.

And ive not done much in the Mod i just slightly adjusted curves and sharpened slightly

A couple of sweeties. I had a full grown owl on my arm at a raptor centre a while ago and was amazed at how light they are and how they're mainly feathers. These must feel like weightless puffs of down. Gorgeous.

Aaah, aren't they cute! We often see images of fully grown owls, but never young ones like this. Two super captures, Lillian, especially V1 - my fave.

Beautiful shot Lillian and bringing back memories of a great day; thankyou for organising it.
Detail and focus look absolutely spot on to me - checking out the eyes I make make out a sharp reflection including you, so I can't see how the focus could be any better.
And the blacks of the eyes also look deep, so I'd be happy with the contrast too - looking fluffy feels so appropriate of where they were in the soft light
