Kelso Abbey

By KingBee
Kelso Abbey in the Scottish Borders is a lovely ruin of a place, and, although relatively small compared to the likes of, say, Jedburgh or Melrose, is well worth a visit. This part of the Abbey was constructed in 1933 as a memorial cloister to the 8th Duke of Roxburghe. It was designed by Reginald Fairlie after the original style of the cloisters built when the abbey was founded in the 12th century.

Wonderful stonework and very well composed and detailed. The stained glass window makes a great end point to the perspective

A good angle and lots of detail, Bob. Very nicely processed.
