Keyhaven Morning at 500mm

By brian1208
A bright morning gave me the chance to take the Tamron 500 to Keyhaven to get a better feel for how it would perform with my wildfowl and wildlife targets. As it turned out I had a cracking walk including seeing Red Breasted Mergansers displaying in the harbour (a first for me). It was a shame I was shooting toward the light but I have managed to pull some detail and colour out.

I am absolutely delighted with this lens, a 500mm lens I can hand-hold which cost me 129! Grin I'm seeing very little sign of the "Doughnut" bokeh others have talked about in the past

I'll put up a series of shots of various subjects from the walk which I thinks summarise why I'm so pleased

(the hit rate with manual everything is down but the quality is good when I do get it right)
