Fabulous! He's locked in contest with his own shadow for that ball.

Hahaha Moira - it took me some time to sort out what you'd done. He sorts of shoots faster than his shadow...no wait...the other way around..!

OK, having been very silly, I'll now be serious - what works here is that diagonal dark/light split. The line between the two surfaces divides the frame so perfectly, and the boy is leaping over it, from darkness into the light - except that in the light, there he finds his shadow. A moment in time with so many layers.

Fabulous image! I'm always looking for that contrasting light/dark & dark/light effect, but never seem to find it. This illustrates the concept so well and is a dynamic, well composed shot that really grabs your attention!

Top work!
Cheers, Goggz

Oops, I forgot - the mod is a scream too! Smile

very nice piece of photography and execution of an idea I suppose. like the playful divisions it contains; both in form, light and planes and subject; thumb is also attractive being more "clean" as compared to the larger versions.
Wow now this i like great timing first class

This works well Ellie you have some diagonals working , plenty of action - great timing and the shadow just makes the difference from a so so shot to a really good image.
A few white spots in some places I would have been tempted to clone out or at least burn down a bit of brightness - but that is a personal thing - Andy

The white spots are leaves - good point to clone them out. And burn down brightness. thank yo Smile
