Kilchurn Castle In The Rain

By rowarrior
Well we were glad we didn't waste our time getting up for sunrise! This was taken at 8:30 am on the Sunday of the Rowardennan Meet.

I thought that as there wasn't great light on the castle, I would give it a go in black and white too, so that will be version 2. Saying that, this is only the 2nd time I've tried converting to black and white, so while it may look better in b&w, it may not be my offering in b&w that's the best Wink

C&Cs welcome Smile

Like the b&w but colour looks great. John.

Colour for me. I don't think it is the conversion, just that the colour is so beautiful. I find you have to make serious tweaks with contrast and shadows for B&W in addition to removing colour.

I like the colour version the most. Anyway possible to bring back some definition in the white (sky) just above the mountains? Not easy to do - but wel worth it!

I'm not sure, unfortunately as the mountain tops were covered in snow it kind of blended into the clouds Sad

Love the romantic (as in 19th century artistic movement) feel of the colour version.
