I am happy to say that an insect did suffer after the making of this photograph. i make no appologies as this menace on 1000's of it's mates or offspring are causing havoc to my flowerbed. It is an amazing looking bug though, Aphids.

An intresting Close up of a Greenfly (Aphid) it is pin sharp and the exposure is spot on well done, Just keep it off my roses please.

Nice shot. There was a thing on TV the other night saying the use of the "Aphidius colemani" insect was the best natural method of controlling these little blighters.

John, thanks for the advice, I saw that item too. We do seem to have a good supply of these little blighters at the moment. the ladybirds do get rid of a few but the rate these breed is staggering. I do like the shot of the bug on a tree trunk in S. Africa.
